Game phones are becoming increasingly popular and most Andoird manufacturers are trying to bring something that fits into the niche. Nubia is no stranger to the gaming market with its Red Magic line. The next iteration is expected shortly. In a message published in Weibo, the boss of the company, Ni Fei, revealed six key features of Nubia’s upcoming Red Magic 3.

First, the phone has a combined air and liquid cooled system to handle heat stress. This would be a novelty for any phone, but it remains to be seen what benefits it brings. The phone ships with the Snapdragon 855 chipset with 12GB of RAM.

The screen is said to have a “higher frame rate than most gaming PCs” and offer special eye protection features. We’ve seen gaming devices like the Razer phone with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It remains to be seen whether the Red Magic 3 is similar or even goes one step further.

The new battery is larger than the 3800 mAh cells found in previous Red Magic devices. Finally, the 4D vibration motor is perfected with customizable haptic feedback for the new model.

Fei hinted that the new gaming phone would hit the market in April. We will probably learn more about it in the next few weeks.
