After passing through Chinese certification body TENAA now Redmi 8 was leaked on live images. The snapshots not only show us the design of the phone but also confirm that it comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset and runs MIUI 9.7.11 on Android 9 Pie.
The Redmi 8 features a 6.21-inch HD + LCD screen with a water-drop notch for the 8-megapixel selfie camera. The chin below is decorated with the brand Redmi. On the back, we have a vertically aligned dual-camera configuration with 12 MP and 8 MP as well as a fingerprint reader. The case seems to be made of polycarbonate and has reflective red reflections.
Other specifications include 4 GB RAM and 64 GB expandable memory as well as a 5,000 mAh battery. The Redmi 8 will be announced shortly at a corporate event scheduled for September.
In addition, Redmi Vice President Lu Weibing confirmed that he is testing the next Redmi Note 8, which would have been delivered with the brand’s first 64-megapixel sensor. The phone also has a more durable battery and a higher screen/screen ratio than its predecessor.
