The sub-brand Xiaomi Redmi announced its first Android smartphone Go – the Xioami Redmi Go – at the end of January. The smartphone is already available in several markets and the next market to hit the market is India.
The Redmi Go will be launched in India on March 19th. The company has set up an event page with a countdown to start on its website. The page shows that this smartphone comes with over 20 regional languages, dedicated expandable storage, and Google Assistant in Hindi.
The Redmi Go is powered by the Snapdragon 425, which is paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android Oreo (Go Edition) and has 8GB of internal memory. The smartphone has a 5-inch HD LCD screen on the front and an 8-megapixel camera on the back. It has a 3000 mAh battery, which is pretty accurate given the size and resolution of the screen.
We expect Redmi Go to cost around INR 5000 ($ 72 / $ 64) in India.
