More than a month before launch in the United States, an interactive video of the Samsung Galaxy Fold has been posted online, showing the smartphone being used by someone other than a Samsung presenter. A 2-minute clip from Vietnam shows the operation of the device in its folded and unfolded form. One eye-catching detail is the obvious fold in the middle of the larger 7.3-inch screen, and it remains to be seen if this is the case with the last phone or not.
The weight distribution seems to be solid as the user could fold the phone with one hand while lying flat on a table. The Software Information submenu displays that the Galaxy Fold One UI version 1.2 running Android 9.0 Pie is running.
The Fold will include Samsung’s latest and best-selling components such as the Snapdragon 855 and 12GB of RAM.
Overall, the device looks appealing and the folding mechanism snaps securely. As a reminder, the latest technologies are not cheap and the Fold costs you $ 1,950 / $ 2,000, which is still a bit lower than Huawei Mate X and its starting price of $ 2,600.
