The vivo V15 Pro teaser posters tend to focus on their contextual 32MP selfie camera, but a new report shows that the triple camera on the back should not be underestimated.
The rear camera has a 48 megapixel main module (a Samsung GM1), which supports a 12 megapixel binning mode for night photography. The other two modules have 8 MP and 5 MP sensors, but their purpose is not clear. This is just the second triple camera in vivo after the NEX Dual Display (with depth sensor and 3D ToF camera).
However, the vivo V15 Pro will be among the first to use a Snapdragon 675 chipset, the direct competitors Redmi Note 7 Pro and Motorola P40, which also have 48 MPa cameras.
The phone has a Super AMOLED screen (size and resolution to be determined) and an integrated fingerprint reader (visible on the poster). Obviously there is no camera recess or perforation.
The V15 Pro will debut on February 20 and is expected to cost INR 25,000 ($ 350 / € 305) for a device with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
