In the fall of 2018, vivo launched a range of affordable cell phones that are part of the Y series, including the vivo Y95, which was originally introduced to the Philippines before it also came to India. Today, the phone goes to the national market of vivo, but under a different name: vivo U1. There are also more storage options for better price flexibility.
The vivo U1 has a Snapdragon 439 chipset and two other variants with 3GB of RAM compared to the Y95. The screen is 6.2 “with HD + resolution and a water drop notch.The embedded selfie camera has an 8-megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 lens and is one of the few differences to the vivo Y95.
The rear dual camera has a 13 MP / 2.2 main module and a 2 MP depth sensor with a 1: 2.4 aperture. A fingerprint reader is also on the back. However, if you want another option to wake up your phone, you have FaceWake, the in-vivo version of Face Unlock.
The vivo U1 comes with a 4030 mAh power cell and a microUSB connector. It retains the 3.5 mm audio jack, offers IP58 protection and uses the FunTouch 4.5 operating system, which is based on Android Oreo.
The base 3/32 GB vivo U1 costs 799 CNY for the model, CNY999 for the variant 3/64 GB and 1 199 CNY for the smartphone 4/64 GB. There are three colors: Starry Black Night, Aurora Blue and Aurora Red. These are all gradients with different purple / blue tones on the underside of the plate. The phone can be purchased at the vivo online store, but shipping will begin on the 26th of February in a week.
