Bruce Lee – no, not the actor, product manager at Huawei – has released four photos of a new 5G cell tower near the MWC site in Barcelona. Huawei and Vodafone have set up the cell tower, but the photos are much more interesting than the tower itself.
It is assumed that the photos were taken with a Huawei P30 Pro. The Huawei P30 Vanilla should have the Mate 20 Pro’s triple camera, while the P30 Pro should have a new quad camera.
They go from a seemingly very wide-angle setting to a magnified view (the last image almost certainly uses the digital zoom). Unfortunately, the EXIF information was deleted, so we can not be sure that Lee did not use the Mate 20 Pro to take these pictures.
The wide-angle shot has a resolution of 20 MP, identical to that of the Mate 20 Pro camera. However, the telephoto shots are 10 MP, while the mate has an 8 MP telecamera. It looks like a 5x telephoto, which is expanded 10 times with digital zoom.
The phones P30 – Vanilla, Pro and Lite – will be presented on 26th March at an event in Paris.
