HMD Global has an announcement in Barcelona just before the MWC 2019. We are planning at least two new phones. Initially, the Nokia 1 Plus was partially introduced by Android Enterprise, today the Nokia 9 PureView. Both phones are now listed as supported devices in Play Store to confirm that they are ready to download and install apps.
It’s worth noting that we’re always nicknamed PureView after Nokia 9, but the list of Google Play supported devices is missing, so we can guess if the flagship product has it. Maybe it’s just gimmick marketing if you want to connect the configuration of the Nokia 9 with five cameras to the great Nokia 808 PureView shooter with its 41 MP sensor.
By contrast, Nokia 1 Plus will be a simple smartphone with 1GB of RAM and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. It will likely remain in the Android Go Affordable Devices program, and we hope to see it as the first smartphone to use Android Pie (Go Edition) immediately. The launch will take place next weekend and we will report on what Juho Sarvikas is really going to reveal.
