The Huawei P30 Pro brings you closer to the action than any other mobile phone on the market – the periscope 8 megapixel zoom camera has a focal length of 125 mm. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) helps keep photos sharp and videos smooth. Huawei and Leica have also upgraded the other two cameras with exclusive features.
Sony has equipped a custom 40 megapixel sensor with a network of RYYB color filters – Yellow replaces green for even better performance in low light (Huawei was already a leader in the field). The maximum ISO value is now twice as high as the Mate 20 Pro and is further enhanced by the brighter aperture of f / 1.6 and the OIS.
The P30 Pro also has a 20 MP (16 mm) wide-angle autofocus camera and a ToF sensor. This is used for a multi-layer depth effect to allow a more realistic bokeh. The hybrid zoom is back and can go up to 10 times (you can shift it up to 50x with digital zoom).
The front was also fundamentally revised. The 6.47-inch AMOLED display has an integrated fingerprint reader that should surpass the Mate 20 Pro. The screen resolution is 1080p +.
The notch was reduced to the size of a crack. It has a high-resolution 32MP selfie camera with improved bokeh rendering, but the 3D face scan hardware had to be dropped.
The Huawei P30 Pro is powered by the Kirin 980 chiller with intense cooling. The storage situation looks like this: 6 GB / 8 GB RAM and up to 512 GB memory. This is expandable via the new NM memory cards.
The P30 Pro has the best charging technology from Huawei. This means 40W Super Charge for the 4,200 mAh battery and 15W fast and wireless charging.
The phone can be preordered now, starting at 1,000 euros for the 8/128-GB model If you need more storage space, 256 GB cost 1,100 and 512 GB (1,250 euros).
