Google has Google Maps and Street View, but the company actually uses a mix of both. Enhanced reality navigation would be entrusted to local guides, a group of people who reread the community on the Maps platform. Google says it needs more testing before it’s available to more users.
The application works quite simply: when you start it, Google prompts you to look for the buildings around you and follow the arrows. There is also a special request to drop the phone while walking. Otherwise, you might come across someone or something – or, worse, walk down the street without looking back.
Although the AR feature is for smartphones, in the future it will be much more convenient (less far away) to use glass apparel equipment. In this way, restaurants and other attractions could be displayed. Until then, it would be an interesting function to cross a city that you do not know well.
