More information about Google‘s middle pixels, starting with their name, has been posted – they are not “Lites.” Instead, they are referred to as pixels 3a and Google pixels 3a XL. They each have 5.6 “and 6” screens.
Differences between 3a and 3a XL (beyond the waist) are not yet known. However, it forms a clear picture of the small phone.
The Pixel 3a has a 5.6-inch OLED display (without LCD) with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels (18.5: 9). If you compare this to Pixel’s 5.5-inch 18: 9 screen, you might think it’s a notch. However, this is not visible in CAD-based renderings or videos. Both phones have Active Edge.
The Google Pixel 3a has a 12 megapixel camera on the back, which would produce the same image quality as the Pixel 3. However, the mid-range chipset is much slower when taking photos. On the front is an 8MP wide-angle selfie camera, but no second ultra-wide module.
The chipset in question is a Snapdragon 670 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of memory. Both phones feature eSIM technology and the Titan M security chip. The fact that the XL model has a Snapdragon 710 instead of a 670 has not yet been confirmed (or rejected).
18 W Fast charge via USB-C The delivery is possible for a battery with 3000 mAh. No word about wireless charging.
The Google Pixel 3a and Google Pixel 3a XL will be introduced this year, but the exact timing remains uncertain. Most likely is the spring with Verizon as starting partner in the USA.
