MediaTek has officially announced the Dimensity 8000 5G mobile Processor. MediaTek Dimensity 8000 Specification is quite powerful and it is based on the TSMC’s 5nm architecture and features an octa-core design.
According to Mediatek the New Dimensity 8000 specification Sheet is packed with all the advanced technology from its previous Dimensity 9000.
“You could say the MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series is the little brother to our flagship Dimensity 9000 chip. Meaning it brings flagship-grade features and next-level energy efficiency to the premium smartphone market,” said CH Chen, the Deputy General Manager of MediaTek Wireless Communications Business unit.

Mediatek Dimensity 8000 comes with an Octa-core CPU with 4x Arm Cortex-A78 up to 2.75GHz performance core and 4x Arm Cortex-A55 up to 2.0GHz power efficiency core. This is Built using the TSMC N5 (5nm-class) production process for better power efficiency and longer battery life.
it is packed with an Arm Mali-G610 MC6 graphics engine that gives a smooth experience, high frame rate gaming in top titles while also enjoying up to 20% power savings over competitor alternatives. With this new GPU, it can achieve 170fps in the GFXBench Manhattan benchmark (offscreen). For a better gaming experience, it comes with MediaTek HyperEngine 5.0 gaming technologies. Mediatek Dimensity 8000 supports FHD / 168Hz Full HD+ display.
The Mediatek APU 580 (MediaTek 5th Generation AI processor) can work on targeted tasks or together as a coprocessor such as AI-ISP, and AI-Video, 2.75X faster than the previous generation Dimensity processor.
